Derek Nolan is the principle at Twelve. He is a very highly regarded Chartered Accountant with over 20 years experience in Public Practice.
Derek grew up in a family that owned a successful small business, so he really understands what small business owners need and what they are looking for from a trusted accountant.
Before moving to Caringbah 5 years ago, Derek was a partner in a large Sydney city based firm and prior to that he worked for Ernst & Young. Derek has the big city experience to deal with most challenges and makes this wealth of experience available to local people who may not usually have access to someone like him.
Derek understands what people want from a result-driven accountant. He puts the same care into looking after other people’s financial affairs as he would if it was his own. This means getting to understand the nuts and bolts of them and what latitude there is to reduce taxes and increase cash-flow.

He is a regular speaker on the topic and has written numerous articles for magazines and newsletters. Tristen Hargeaves
Tristen has worked in the accounting profession for over 10 years in both commerce and public practice. His last five years have been spent specialising in taxation, superannuation and the provision of financial advice to a wide range of clients from wealth accumulators to retirees.
Tristen has a Bachelor of Commerce degree, from the University of Wollongong. He also holds the internationally recognized Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA) qualification with a ‘Financial Planning Specialist’ (FPS) designation. As part of this qualification, Tristen is required to undertake ongoing educational and professional development to ensure that he is fully aware of current industry information and able to service client needs professionally.
